North Devon Cricket Club News

FOUR North Devon CC colts are taking part in the Devon U15 tour of South Africa.
The are Max Curtis, Jamie Overton, Craig Overton and Tom Ansell

Jamie Overton has put in some match winning performances of 62 , 68, and 2-24
Tom Ansell has also done well with the bat with a 39no and 28 in a low scoring game
Craig Overton has got a 20 Max Curtis has bowled well without much luck

The Colts played at the Western Province academy on Sunday against Boland. The ground is a 1st Class Venue.
Jamie Overton Scored 54 but unfortunately they lost the provincial u16 side. Max Curtis got 2 for 25. which were the only wickets to fall. Craig Overton got 17. Dropped catches were a problem

Mpumalanga 141 all out & 238 all out (C.Eaves 3-39, M.Golding 3-65)
Devon won by 9 runs.

February 19th v Northern Suburbs at Green Point

Nothern Suburbs 155 all out (M.Golding 9-1-42-3)

Devon 158-3 (J.Overton 63, T.Ansell 39*)

Devon won by 7 wickets with 7 overs to spare.
Jamie and Tom put on 103 for the 2nd wicket

February 20th v Southern Suburbs at Uitsig Constansia

Devon 192 for 8 ( M.Golding 77)

Southern Suburbs 74 all out (C.Eaves 7-0-21-4; G Yates 7-1-14-4 including a hatrick)

Devon won by 118 runs

February 22nd v Boland at Boland Park, Paarl.
Devon all out 154. (T Ansell 28)
Boland 150 all out (T Lochead 5-20, J.Overton 2-24, G.Yates 2-22)
Devon won by 4 runs.
Devon retained their unbeaten record in fanastiic style showing great guts and determination in a nail biting finish. Toby Lochead turned the tables with Boland on 120-2 in a devastating 8 over spell.
