Your
committee has had a busy winter organising numerous renovations and repairs
at our ground.
Pavilion
The pavilion has been fully rewired, numerous rotten
beams and braces have been replaced. The crumbling paint work is being
chipped off ready for painting. The long room has had skylights replaced as
have the corroded door handles. The changing room toilet window and outside
toilet door have been replaced.
Ground
As you may
have noticed the outfield has not drained well over the last few years. To
alleviate this major drainage works have been undertaken. The main "hedge"
drain has been dug out and replaced and all other existing drains have been
cleared. An additional transverse channel has been dug at the sea end and
the outlet from the pond Improved.
Scorebox
A new
panoramic sash window has been installed, the door replaced as has the
rotten rear roof board.
The bunker under the scoreboard has been blocked up and a door installed the
create a new secure store room.
Net Area
The net area has been cleared, a new retaining wall build to hold back the
sand and a sub-base installed ready for the arrival of net contractor.
